An Israeli veteran from the 1982 Lebanon war struggles to recall the Sabra and Shatila massacres carried out by Lebanese Christian Phalangists. I won't go into too much detail as you can find out about it here.Despite it's gruesome subject, I enjoyed the film.
Based on the novel In The Electric Mist With The Confederate Dead, which I haven't read. Can't help feeling that the book would be better.
Based on the Canadian Corps involvement during The Battle Of Passchenaele. Excellent battles scenes sandwich a fairly drab, seemingly endless bit of emotional shite. Definately worth watching, just have your finger ready to fast forward the middle bit!
