Now You See It, Now You Don't
At some point this week, Argos will get off their arse and deliver our new T.V.
We'll be mounting the new one on the wall to avoid any more toddler related accidents!
I've removed our funky, faceless clock in preperation.
Where we'll put it now is a mystery to me.

Hurrah! Progress!
We finally heard from our insurance company today.
They're going to replace our telly with an equivalent.
This one to be precise.
Fuck knows when it'll be delivered.

This Week Needs Smacking Like A Bad, Bad Donkey.
Where shall I begin?
Well, lets start from last Thursday, as it was possibly the worst day
of my life.
On Thursday morning I went to work. To say I was running around like a
blue arsed fly is an under-statement. Even though I was only on a
poncy spare duty, I was late getting out of work. Then, when I got to
the train station, I found out that the 13:13 was cancelled. That
would have got me to my home station in 30 minutes, instead I had to
catch the 13:34, which takes 50 minutes. So I got home 40 minutes late.
As if that wasn't enough, I later found out that my Great Aunty Lena
had passed away.
Still, that wasn't enough! I phoned the missus only to find out that
she was in the A&E department of her hospital. One of her dickhead
colleagues put a syringe in the "sharp bin" upside down. The misses
pricked her finger with it and needed all sorts of precautionary jabs.
On Friday, I took my mum and brother to see Great Uncle Les. He looked
terrible. He's in his late 80's and slowly being consumed by
asbestosis of the lungs. He's lost his best friend and wife and we
fear for his future.
Saturday passed without incident.
Sunday; Arsenal, Chelsea, nil, three, shit.
Monday saw my father-in-law being taken to hospital. It seems that
some of the heart medication he's on is affecting his stomach ulcer
quite badly.
Tuesday passed without incident.
Wednesday; Matt broke my T.V today! In a bizarre mop/toy incident he's
managed to crack the screen. Waiting to hear if our insurance will
cover it.
A real fucker of a week, I'm sure you'll agree.
Tomorrow is Great Aunty Lena's funeral.
Fingers crossed that everything goes uphill after that.

Where Does The Time Go?
Time has just been flying by of late. I wish I could tell why, but I can't.
The only worthwhile thing to tell is that Matt can now walk. And boy does he walk! I looked after him on Saturday and Sunday and my legs are still aching now!
As previously reported, Matt came down with a nasty cold. The doctors prescribed Tamiflu without even seeing him. We'll never know if it was actually Swine Flu, which is annoying. The missus has also been unwell of late and I am currently suffering from a really sore throat. I'm desperately hoping it doesn't turn into Tonsilitis.
In other news, my iPhone arrived very quickly after my threat of leaving O2 and I love it! I'm a little disapointed with the battery life, but that's a small price to pay for the mobile of the gods!
My diet is still on, amazingly! I've got down to under 13 stone for the first time in years. I'm aiming for 12 stone and then I'll start running.
The football season is nearly upon us. I'm predicting that Arsenal will win fuck all as usual.

I Don't Want To Seem Ungrateful.......
For Christmas, the missus bought me a Sony PSP.
At first I was really made up and then I started to think about it.
Did I really need a PSP?
I can watch films and listen to music on my iPod, so the only function that appealed to me was the ability to game while on the move.
The other thing that made me think twice was the issue of games. Most games released on the PSP are also released on the PS3. Would I rather buy and play a game in High Definition on a 42 inch screen or in lesser quality on a small screen? No competition really.
So, I delicately told the missus that I was worried the PSP would go to waste and she agreed that we should take it back, refund it and use the money to buy my new espresso maker instead.
The only problem is that the espresso maker I wanted appears to have stopped being sold by everyone, so I'm currently presentless in a present filled world.
I'd better do some research on espresso makers.

Shiny, Shiny, New Fridge
Despite my sweary, fretting attitude, we did manage to get a fridge yesterday. Luckily, my father-in-law has a Vauxhall Zafira and with a little help (some rope and my right foot) we managed to squeeze it in and bring it home.It's a Hotpoint RL150 Silver;
Capacity - 290Litre
Energy Rating - A
Shelves - Safety glass
Ice Compartment - No
Dimensions - H:1500mm W:600mm D:600mm
I don't know what any of the above means, but I do know that I'm £293 notes lighter than when I woke up yesterday morning.

Perfect Fucking Timing!
Our fridge is fucked.
I dunno exactly what is wrong and quite frankly, I couldn't give a shit.
All I know, is it keeps tripping the circuit breaker on my fuse box.
So now I need to buy a new fridge, two days before christmas.
Do you reckon they'll deliver it before the big day?
I don't.

New Isn't Always Better
Apologies for the lack of updates.
We're having problems with the new router.
I doubt I'll even finish this entry before the dreaded "This programme is not responding" message appears.

What's The Time Mr Wolf?

Bloody Typical!
The T.V in the bedroom has been making a sort of "white noise" sound every time someone on it spoke. We arranged for an engineer to come around to check it out and surprise, surprise, it's stopped making the noise.
The engineer will be here in the next hour or so this is both annoying and potentially very embarrassing.
Update; The engineer came, changed a speaker and now there's no sound on the T.V at all. It'll be monday at the earliest when it's fixed.
Plus, why is it that every delivery driver or workman that comes to our house sounds and looks like he's about to die of a heart attack any minute?

Less Play, More Blog
Apologies for the lack of updates over the last week or so. I've been on the PS3 playing Call Of Duty 4 and the newly released Grand Theft Auto 4.
I do have some stuff to put up here but I'm about to leave for work.
I'll post some new stuff as soon as I get home.

Recently Ordered
A Bialetti, 3 cup espresso pot.I love espressos and this is the proper way to make them, on the cooker, in a pot.
My old espresso machine tried to kill me this afternoon. The pressure built up too much and sent the bit that holds the coffee flying. This has resulted in a burnt right hand, a broken espresso cup, a hell of a lot of cleaning up to do and a free plug socket is now available where the machine used to be.
If I hadn't moved quickly enough a trip tp A&E would have been needed. As it is, the area between my thumb and index finger has three blisters and the finger next to the little one has a blister between the top two knuckles.
Ouch.
