The greatest song ever in the history of the whole world EVER, surely has to be anything by that slutty little Japanese JPOP princess, YUKI.
Too much scope for the best song ever, but the best *pop* song ever would sound like something between "Mickey" (Toni Basil, 1982-ish) and "My Sharona" (The Knack, 1979-ish). You youngsters may need to wander off to iTunes for those...
