Best you don't tell him about my rather nasty time when I had mine out... They "accidentally caught" the artery running across my stomach, but failed to mention it. Five days post op, I let rip with a massively painful sneeze. Ripped my stitches, tore the wound open, and the "oops" on the artery spilt and I showered the room with claret.
My mum had to hold the wound closed while the ambulance crew got to me... Very nasty.
Still, if you want a laugh, make him laugh. It hurts ;)
I like to refer to it as my near death experiance matter of mins scar rather than a mars bar bruv
